Somatic Movement Exploration: Centring into Being
Before we found our spine, orientation began towards our navel centre. Join Suhad for a Somatic movement exploration to inquire into how we might reclaim or re-pattern something of a very early pre-vertebral development – the very point around which our initial sense of centre and organisation started to form a blueprint towards our being.
Through deep listening to our internal movement, sensing and feeling, we will explore the Naval Radiation (Starfish) movement pattern and uncover ways that support us in navigating both our internal and external ways of being.
How can we initiate movement from our Naval working with our inner sensations towards an outward expression, radiating from our deep sense of knowing?
Gut-Brain Connection and Vagus nerve - A Somatic Exploration
The quality of our digestive system’s functioning often reflects our attitudes towards nourishment on all levels: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Your digestive tract is essentially an internal space open to the outside world, and in this workshop, Suhad will guide you through a deep Somatic movement exploration to connect with your gut tube and digestive organs.
This workshop is especially beneficial if you experience digestive issues or IBS. By deeply listening to your internal movements, sensing, and feeling, we’ll explore movement patterns and release tension held along the entire gut tube, from your mouth and jaw all the way down through your organs. We’ll also inquire into the memories that may be held within your digestive system from different stages of your development, offering a somatic approach to understanding and improving your gut health.
The Mind of the Glands: Intuition, Feelings and Balance - Somatic Exploration
Join me for a deep somatic journey into the intricate world of the endocrine system. In addition to their role as chemical regulators, our glands are intelligent centers deeply connected to our intuition, emotional states, and overall inner health and well-being. The profound role of the endocrine system is so vital it truly belongs within the understanding of Psychoneuroimmunology, highlighting the body’s integrative wisdom.
Each gland holds a unique quality of mind and feeling, governing specific organs, senses, and perception. This workshop offers an invitation to tune into the subtleties of these glands, helping you develop conscious awareness of how they are impacted by our daily environment and stresses, and to deeply listen to the felt sense of their messaging through sound and movement while supporting their inherent healing cycles.

I teach Vinyasa Yoga influenced by Vinyasa Krama (an ancient practice of physical and spiritual development), combining movement and sequence with the breath. By integrating the functions of mind, body and breath in the same time frame, practitioners will experience the real joy of yoga practice. I bring in modifications and variations to make the class accessible to all levels. I believe that yoga is a moving meditation and I emphasise the importance of meditation throughout my class.
Advanced Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, and Meditation teacher
I teach advanced Vinyasa Yoga influenced by Vinyasa Krama (an ancient practice of physical and spiritual development), combining movement and sequence with the breath. By integrating the functions of mind, body and breath in the same time frame, practitioners will experience the real joy of yoga practice. I bring in modifications and variations to ensure the class is accessible, safe and supportive of all levels.
I came to believe that yoga is a moving meditation and in my classes and teachings, I emphasise the importance of meditation and Pranayama.
I completed 5oohrs RYT certificate, trained initially in 2019 in India qualified in Vinyasa (ashtanga-based) and Yin Yoga, and then trained with the fabulous Stewart Gilchrist (East London School of Yoga) completing my advanced 300hrs certification in 2024.
I offer group classes and 1-2-1 private classes tailored to your needs and your levels.
What my classes involve?
My teachings is based on the four principles of Ashtanga Yoga (Yoga with eight limbs): Asana (posture), Pranayama (breath control), Drishti (gaze) or Dharana (concentration) or Dhyana (meditation).
For beginners, I might introduce slow and mild Puraka (inhalation) and Rechaka (exhalation) without straining beyond their capacity.
Yoga Sutra, which is not the only source of knowledge of Yoga, but it is an important and significant one, stated that Raja Yoga is an exact science which aims at controlling all thought-waves or mental modifications (vrittis) towards purification and control.
Yoga teaches discipline, self-control and content (santosha) and this is what I aim to bring to my students from philosophy to practice.
